Cà Phê Trứng (Egg Coffee) – Only Viet Nam!

I write this stuff in respond to my friend’s taste when she said to love to enjoy a sweet special coffee at weekend in winter day in Ha Noi. And so interestingly, I have just done search Cà phê trứng and then I can not wait for make one.

Cà phê trứng – egg coffee, is a unique coffee recipe that I have been only served the best flavor at Giảng Cafe – Yên Phụ street, Hanoi. The unique combination between the bitter taste of coffee and greasy taste of the egg is a nutritious choice for you and your friend in this cold weather. After a fatigue working day, it is great and refreshing to enjoy a cup of egg coffee.

What to need?

1 fresh egg
3 tsp coffee powder
2 tsp sweetened condensed milk
boiling water

How to make?

- For a cup of good flavor coffee, you need to prepare a clean coffee pot, standard filter to brew your coffee first.

- Tips: put coffee powder into the filter, tap lightly and then swirl the filter cover a bit to press the coffee.

-Pour the boiling water into 2 times: the first time, only pour enough amount of water for coffee expansion, the last time is pour amount of water you require to drink (but do not too much).

- Wait for coffee brewed.

- Break a fresh into hot brewed coffee cup, add the sweetened condensed milk. The egg yolk will be whipped thoroughly till floating and there is still a thin layer of dark coffee in the bottom.

- That’s all you success in making a cup of egg coffee. I hope that you will enjoy it.
