1 cup crumbled paneer

1 small onion, chopped fine

1/2 tsp red chilli powder

1/4 tsp powdered cumin / jeers

1/2 tsp garam masala

1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste

A small bunch of coriander, chopped fine

1 tsp or a bit more tomato sauce / ketchup

4 slices of bread

Butter to toast

Salt to taste

DIRECTIONS

How to  make stuffing:

1. In a large bowl, put into all ingredients, mix them up and then well stir them over medium heat with a pan. Done it?

2. Cut out the edge of the bread slices as they are hard to roll up. Soak bread with a little bit water to make it soft. Place about 1 tsp or so of filling on one end of the rolled out bread slice.  Gently roll in from one end, making sure that the filling stays well within the first turn of the roll. Roll it all up and seal tightly.

3. Heat cooking oil in a skillet, when it’s hot, deep fry bread rolls till brown both sides. Use paper towel to drain oil from bread rolls.

4. Transfer them to serving dish, use with chilli sauce. Wow, a wonderful crunchy bite.

If you do not want deep frying style, you can butter up the rolls on all sides. Then lightly roast in a pan until all sides are browned. Cut up and serve with tomato sauce. Bet that you love it right away.

How to make paneer mixture

Take 3 cups of milk, put into a pan and bring it to a boil. Then add 4 tsp lemon juice and 1/4 cup of water. Keep stirring in a single way to bring to a boil again. Turn off the heat.

Pour it on to a cotton/muslin cloth and tie it with a tight knot. When all the water is drained from the paneer shape it into a rectangular block. Now place the cloth under heavy weight for 2-3 hours before using it.
