Oven steamed fish

Steaming is one of the recommended cooking method ever as it helps preserving the most flavor of ingredients. Take this recipe in your favorite dish!


2 slices frozen tilapia fillets (or any white fish eg haddock)
1 tbsp peanut oil
1 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp grated ginger
3 tbsp Lee Kum Kee’s seasoned soy sauce for seafood (or just plain soy sauce would work too)
2 tbsp mirin
3 tbsp water
chopped spring onion and cilantro
aluminium foil & baking tray


1. Mix the peanut oil, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, mirin and water together.

2. Line a baking tray with aluminium foil. Spoon half the sauce mix into the tray.
3. Place the frozen tilapia fillets on the sauce, skin side up. Spoon the rest of the sauce over the fillets.
4. Cover tray loosely with foil.
5. Bake in preheated oven for 15-17 minutes at 350F.
6. Add the chopped spring onion and cilantro. Serve with white rice.
