Tamarind cooked duck thighs

This thighs with tamarind sauce is simple but very tasty as serving over hot rice. Especially, it can suit in both winter and summer. Charming sweet duck meat, greasy but not sick because of sour tamarind sauce. The combination of duck and sour tamarindreal come into harmony, giving extremely interesting new dishes taste.

INGREDIENTS

2 medium-sized duck thighs
1 tablespoon tamarind concentrate
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon ketchup
½ teaspoon of cornstarch
Onion, ginger, garlic, vegetable oil

DIRECTION 

1. Marinate thighs with 1 tsp soy sauce, leave about 30 minutes, then half fry till brown both sides. Put the fried thighs into a pot, pour some water and add sliced ginger and salt. Boil until the water is shallow to 1/3.

2. Dissolve tamarind concentrate with hot water, filter the trash. Then in other pot, fragrant onion, garlic. Pour tamarind sauce, ketchup, sugar, 1 tsp soy sauce and thighs. Bring to a boil.

Mix 2 tablespoons cornstarch with cold water, add to the pot boil until match.

When serving, pour tamarind sauce on the thighs.
